Should I say something to her or not?

I was in an accident a few years ago and lost my personality basically. I'm very depressed still and don't talk much. I'm in a college program and this girl has recently started making friends with my group of friends but has noticed that I don't talk much. I don't want her to think I'm unfriendly or a ***** or anything. Should I just tell her I was in an accident?
