Nebody who watches OTH... the guy who is goin 2 work w/ lucas knew payton... were they bf and gf, please help!?

He was never mention before, so nobody really knows. But my brother and I came to the conclusion that he is either a childhood friend/crush or someone she met in LA, because in season 1 she's with Nathan, then she break up with him to be with Lucas, but they never officially go out. Then she's with Jake, but he leaves town. Then comes Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, but she goes back to see Jake, that's when she realized that Lucas is really the one she wants to be with...and to this point 'til they all leave for college, the only guy in her life is Lucas. So, he is from either before season 1 or after they left for college. But, we'll find out next monday!
